ics has been providing learning skills courses for students at Trinity Grammar since 1993. Thousands of students have benefited from attending these courses.
Places are limited on these courses and are filled strictly on a first booked basis.

YEAR 7 students_______________________________
Junior Study Skills & Strategies Course – Year 7 (Term 3)
This course is designed to introduce students to the need for independent study sessions in addition to their normal homework assignments. Topics covered include:
- The important elements needed for effective study
- How to be organised and manage time effectively
- Making notes and summaries
- Introduction to essay structures
- Memory techniques
- Preparing for exams.
Trinity students will receive a take home a workbook that will be an on-going resource during the school year.
Three x 2 hour sessions - conducted from 4.00pm to 6.00pm

Senior Study Skills & Strategies Course – Year 10 (Term 2)
This course is designed to reinforce good study habits for well organised students and develop improved study methods for those who find it hard to set priorities or work efficiently to meet subject deadlines. Topics covered include:
- Motivation/Organisation
- Multiple Intelligences
- Memory Training
- Mind Mapping
- Developing a Study System
- Exam Techniques.
Trinity students will receive a take home a workbook that will be an on-going resource during the school year.
Three x 2 hour sessions - conducted from 4.00pm to 6.00pm

Essay Skills – Year 11 (Term 1)
This course is for students who are keen to improve their essay skills. It provides a step by step approach – from reading and interpreting an essay question to the final draft. Topics covered include:
- Interpreting the question
- Planning/Expanding an idea into a sensible paragraph/Linking ideas
- Writing an introduction
- Writing a well structured paragraph
- Writing a conclusion
- Managaing time under examination conditions.
Trinity students will receive a take home a workbook that will be an on-going resource during the school year. Three x 2 hour sessions - conducted from 4.00pm to 6.00pm
